Sierra de San Pedro Martir National Park is located on the northern part of the Cordillera Baja California Mountain Range called the Sierra de San Pedro Martir. The park is located in Baja California Sur, Mexico. It protects one of the few pine tree forests on the Baja California Peninsula. The park also protects habitats for the Bighorn Sheep as well as the California Condor. Mexico’s largest optical telescope is located at the National Astronomical Observatory on the nearby peak of Cerro del la Cupula.

Owner operated art galleries, artisan shops and upscale hotels and restaurants have made Todos Santos a popular tourist destination. There is a favorite hotel here called the Hotel California. Is it the one made famous by the Eagles? No one is saying.

This range is part of the Baja California Desert ecoregion.

It is a coastal lagoon near the town of Guerrero Negro in the Mulege Municipality that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The lagoon is the wintering and reproductive site of whales, sea lions and turtles.Tourism is controlled.
