San Cristobal de las Casas is located in the central highlands of Chapas, Mexico. It has been designated a “Pueblo Magico” (Magical Village) in 2003 and is considered the cultural capital of Chapas. The city attracts tourists with its native populations and numerous festivals and charming cobblestone streets. A large number of tourists have settled in San Cristobal which has expanded the local culture and added Italian, French, Thai, Indian and Chinese restaurants.
