Sierra de San Pedro Martir National Park is located on the northern part of the Cordillera Baja California Mountain Range called the Sierra de San Pedro Martir. The park is located in Baja California Sur, Messico. It protects one of the few pine tree forests on the Baja California Peninsula. The park also protects habitats for the Bighorn Sheep as well as the California Condor. Messico’s largest optical telescope is located at the National Astronomical Observatory on the nearby peak of Cerro del la Cupula.

Sierra de San Francisco is a mountain range within the El Vizcaino Biosphere Reserve. It is located in Mulege Municipality of the northern region of the state of Baja California Sur, Messico. This range is part of the Peninsula Ranges system, which extends from Southern California to the southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula. This range is part of the Baja California Desert ecoregion.
